A 9-year-old boy asked NASA for a job to defend the Earth from aliens. They replied

In the summer of 2017 he wrote 9-year-old Jack Davis a letter to NASA, asking about the vacant post “planetary protection officer”.

The role was to make sure humans did not contaminate any planets, asteroids or moons we come into contact with and vice versa.

Obviously it’s a highly technical six-figure salary position.

However, 9-year-old Jack David from New Jersey applied with a letter.

The note said:

To be honest, these are some incredible credentials.

In an incredible twist, NASA Director of Planetary Science Jim Green appears to agree.

He wrote a letter in response:

David also received a call from NASA’s director of planetary research Jonathan Rall to congratulate him.
