After the late President Lee Kun-hee passed away, Samsung Electronics Vice President Lee Jae-yong gave the first presidential salute.

Samsung Electronics’ three existing CEOs, including Kim Ki-nam, Kim Hyun-seok, and Ko Dong-jin, have been retained and maintained their original positions, and Vice President Lee Jae-yong’s promotion to president is not been included in this greeting.
This means that the company has focused on the performance-oriented staff renewal, replacing some of the electronics presidents and affiliates, trying to stabilize some of the president’s positions.
President Jae-Seung Lee is the first ever promoted to president of home appliances since the founding of Samsung Electronics and is considered a living witness who made home appliance history today. He is an expert in the field of DRAMs.
Based on his expertise in process development and experience in manufacturing all semiconductor products, CEO Si-young Choi will lay the foundation for achieving the world’s # 1 in foundry industry, according to Samsung.
