After the late President Lee Kun-hee passed away, Samsung Electronics Vice President Lee Jae-yong gave the first presidential salute.
While trying to stabilize the retention of some of the existing CEOs, in the semiconductor and appliance field, it was also seen that next generation runners have been proposed as presidents.
On the 2nd, Samsung Electronics announced on the 2nd that it would keep regular staff from the 2021 presidents at Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDS and Samsung Economic Research Institute.
On this day, Samsung Electronics changed the view of a total of five people, of which three promoted to chairman and two changed the committee. It is a small figure considering uncertainties such as Corona 19 and the global crisis.
First, Vice President of DRAM Development Lee Jeong-bae was named president of the new semiconductor memory division.
Choi Si-young has been named president of the foundry’s corporate department and Jae-seung Lee has been promoted to president as president of the memory manufacturing technology center responsible for global infrastructure and president of the consumer electronics (CE) division.
Samsung Electronics’ three existing CEOs, including Kim Ki-nam, Kim Hyun-seok, and Ko Dong-jin, have been retained and maintained their original positions, and Vice President Lee Jae-yong’s promotion to president is not been included in this greeting.
This means that the company has focused on the performance-oriented staff renewal, replacing some of the electronics presidents and affiliates, trying to stabilize some of the president’s positions.
President Jae-Seung Lee is the first ever promoted to president of home appliances since the founding of Samsung Electronics and is considered a living witness who made home appliance history today. He is an expert in the field of DRAMs.
Based on his expertise in process development and experience in manufacturing all semiconductor products, CEO Si-young Choi will lay the foundation for achieving the world’s # 1 in foundry industry, according to Samsung.
