Thousands of US patient medical records, some of whom are children, have been exposed in another health data security gap. A company called nTreatment, which manages records for healthcare customers, failed to secure one of its cloud servers with a password, according to TechCrunch.
The server stored approximately 109,000 files, including medical notes, third-party test results, and insurance claims, along with some internal nTreatment documents. Almost all of this sensitive information was reportedly viewable via a web browser.
