London police blew up an illegal rave party inside a warehouse where around 80 revelers were dancing despite the country’s stringent COVID-19 restrictions.

Officers received several calls from the public about the noise from the party, which was held in Bromley.

When they arrived they found a warehouse full of people ordering them to leave.

A second group of revelers hid from the officers in a separate room, but were later found and dispersed.

The organizer of the event, a 35-year-old man, now faces a possible fine of £ 10,000 ($ 18,188) for breaking UK coronavirus restrictions.

Chief Inspector Neil Jeffs said the party was “cheeky” as the country was trying to stem a second and third wave of the virus.

“This was a blatant attempt to violate the Coronavirus regulations and the organizer’s behavior in this case was unacceptable,” Inspector Jeffs said.

“While some of the crowd immediately left, others tried to hide in a room in a desperate attempt to evade the officers.

“We will continue to take tough action against those who selfishly fail to abide by the norms that the majority of Londoners have followed admirably.”
