PEI announced two unrelated cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.
One is a male student from Charlottetown Rural High School. The other is also a young male who traveled to PEI from Toronto.
A temporary COVID-19 test clinic will be open on Saturday from 5pm to 8pm at Stratford Town Hall.
The Black Cultural Society of PEI held its first town hall on Friday night – COVID-19 measures in place – with financial security, business, mental health and community engagement the main themes.
A few other events were canceled this weekend due to COVID-19, but there are still some fun things to do.
The inhabitants of the Prince Edward Islands could start getting vaccinated against the coronavirus in early 2021 if all goes well. Premier Dennis King made the remarks following a conference call with his fellow Premier and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday night.

Face liners will be mandatory for everyone at Mark Arendz Ski Park in Brookvale, PEI this winter, officials say, even when on the ski hill. On the hill, those linings can be a knitted balaclava.
Contact tracing is ongoing at three potential COVID-19 exposure sites in Charlottetown: the Atlantic Superstore, the Gahan House pub, and the Terra Rossa restaurant. All tests so far are negative.
Starting next Monday, masks will be mandatory for staff and students in grades 10-12 at all times inside a school building, even sitting at their desks. There will be exemptions for when students eat or drink and in certain other situations.
The IEP saw a total of 72 cases, with no deaths and no hospitalizations.

- The New Brunswick premier announced Thursday that starting at midnight, everyone returning to that province, including people from PEI, must self-isolate for 14 days to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
