Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, said the harassment has nothing to do with clothing, as there is harassment of veiled and veiled women, children and the elderly.

He added, during his meeting with journalist Hamdi Rizk, on the “Nazra” program broadcast on the Sada Al-Balad channel, that there is no justification for linking harassment to women’s clothing, so it is not acceptable to justify the crime of harassment.

The Grand Mufti of Egypt added that some customs and traditions in Arab societies neglected women’s rights and deliberately hid them through an inheritance of these customs.

Shawqi Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, revealed that Laila Bint Abdullah Al-Adawiya Al-Quraysh, called (Al-Shifa), was the first woman to hold a judicial position during the era of the Messenger of God, who God bless him and grant him peace.
