AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW / WAGT) – This afternoon we arrived in the low 70s here in Augusta with a mixture of sun and clouds. As we continue through tonight, tomorrow morning we will see temperatures drop to the mid 40s with some dense patchy fog. There is a small chance for a shower tonight as a faint front moves across the region, but most try to stay dry.
Early next week it is expected to remain dry with mostly sunny or partly cloudy skies. The highs on Monday will be between the mid and low 70s, but will drop to the highs of 60 on Tuesday afternoon. A front is expected to move during the midweek CSRA. The timing of any front will determine when it can rain throughout the area. Most model guidelines call for rain to shift through late Wednesday and clear early Thursday. High temperatures on Thursday appear to be warmer than average in the 1970s. The afternoon is currently dry, but will depend on the speed and timing of any frontal passage. Keep it here for updates.
