SpaceX aims to launch its sixteenth batch of its Starlink broadband satellites on Sunday, one day after the success of Elon Musk’s rocket company sent a new satellite from NASA and the European Space Agency into orbit.

Upgrading a new batch of its orbiting routers has become a matter of routine for SpaceX as it works build a mega constellation
with thousands of individual satellites in low earth orbit. But this mission is going to put a new feather in the cap of Musk.

The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket is set to make its seventh flight, which would be a rocket recycling record for the company. The booster has previously flown on four Starlink missions and a couple of larger telecom satellite launches.

SpaceX will likely attempt to land the booster on a drone ship in the Atlantic shortly after launch, and may also try to capture the two halves of the cone or fairing with another pair of ships.

All of this happens after SpaceX has made another big launch across the country. On a Saturday morning, another Falcon 9 took off from Vandenburg Air Base in California carrying the new NASA / European Space Agency Sentinel 6 Michael Freilich satellite designed to monitor global sea level rise and improve weather forecasting.

Originally, the launch of Starlink was supposed to take place just ten hours after the take-off of the Sentinel 6 mission, but was delayed by a day.

The launch of Starlink is set for 18:56 PT (9:56 PM ET) Saturday. You can watch it all right here:
