Three new cases of COVID-19 in the Netherlands, source of one under investigation

There are three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province.

One is a senior, a tenant of Blue Crest Cottages in Grand Bank. This brings the number of cases in the Burin Peninsula community to five. All five cases are connected.

Anyone considered a close contact of the woman was advised to quarantine.

The second new confirmed case is a woman in her forties in the western health region. The source of the infection is under investigation and further information will be provided as it becomes available.

The third case involves a man in his twenties in the eastern health region who recently returned to the province from Nova Scotia.

All three people isolate themselves and the contact search is underway.

The province has 13 active cases, with two people in hospital.
