The ‘Black Sheep’ sweater, famous for the clothes British Diana (1961 ~ 1997) wore during her lifetime, was relaunched after 26 years.
The US CNN broadcast reported on 13 (local time) that British clothing company Warm & Wonderful recently agreed to rebuild and sell this sweater in partnership with American clothing company Rowing Blazer. The price was set at $ 295 (about 328,000 won).
This sweater, launched in 1979 by Warm and Wonderful, has a design where a black sheep is sandwiched between dozens of white sheep on a red background. Diana first wore this sweater at a polo stadium in 1980.
The Rowing Blazer said Diana loved wearing this sweater multiple times afterwards.
This sweater was popular enough to be sold in department stores around the world, including New York and Tokyo, Japan, after word of mouth as Diana’s favorite clothes, but it was discontinued in 1994.
The sweater actually worn by Diana is currently in the possession of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England.
Meanwhile, Diana married Prince Charles of England in 1981 and became a member of the royal family, but divorced in 1996 after a difficult family life. He died in a car accident on August 31 the following year in Paris, France.
