After launching the Q2 full-frame camera in March last year, Leica recently brought the Q2 Monochrom full-frame model to black and white. This new machine has a built-in 47.3MP black and white sensor and sensitivity up to ISO 100,000 (Q2 up to ISO 50,000). It is equipped with a Summilux 28mm f / 1.7 ASPH fixed focal length lens, users can also choose to simulate 35mm, 50mm or 75mm focal length trimming.
Furthermore, the Q2 Monochrom is also equipped with a 3.68MP OLED viewfinder and a 3-inch touch screen. Its autofocus system can focus on the subject within 0.15 seconds, and for video recording, it supports shooting up to 4K at 30fps. Like Q2, Q2 Monochrom also uses dustproof and waterproof IP52 body, as well as supporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with low power consumption.
Leica Q2 Monochrom is currently listed on B&H for $ US 5,995 (approximately HK $ 46,500 / NT $ 171,400) It is estimated that Hong Kong and Taiwan will officially launch soon. It is worth mentioning that, in order to show the “understated and elegant black and white design”, Leica has removed the iconic red logo on this new machine.
