Think of a world so hostile to life that has oceans of effervescent lava and rains of vaporized rock. This is exactly what researchers have discovered in a distant galaxy and could make clear the formation of our personal planet.

A workforce of researchers studying the hellish exoplanet K2-141b claims it is among the most “excessive” worlds never found. Contemporary research of the planet has found that its floor, oceans and environment are all made from rocks in various completely different varieties. It boasts 100km deep magma oceans, rocky glaciers, and even a vaporized rocky environment.

Researchers have modeled what situations on the infernal floor can look like based primarily on three potential essential substances, all of which are frequent within the crusts of rocky planets.

“All the rocky planets, along with the Earth, originated as fused worlds, but then quickly cooled and solidified. The lava planets give us an unusual look at this stage of planetary evolution “, Cowan stated.

The analysis workforce hopes to further confirm observations gleaned from their fashions following the launch of the James Webb Area Telescope in 2021.
