Apple has always introduced Smart Battery Cases for past generations of iPhones, which use the iPhone’s Lightning socket to establish a physical connection to extend the working time of the iPhone. However, the new iPhone 12 series uses MagSafe magnetic charging, which makes people wonder how the iPhone 12 series Smart Battery Case will be designed. On the Internet, a designer proposed a new concept, figuring out how to apply MagSafe to the Smart Battery Case .
Designer Parker Ortolani proposed on his Twitter that Apple can apply MagSafe to the concept design of the Smart Battery Case, referring to the battery pack, and the phone case can be split into two parts instead of integration, so that the battery can be magnetically connected to the iPhone AND use MagSafe to charge it.

Parker’s design will be able to use the phone case by itself and connect another battery pack when charging is needed. He pointed out that with this design, iPhone 12 will be able to use the MagSafe battery to charge, so the Lightning socket can remain inactive.
And instead of including a lightning connector like old smart battery cases, the phone could charge directly through the battery with the MagSafe disk, and the battery could charge with the disk on its own as well. https://t.co/N7fv62oibq pic.twitter.com/hDioXyD2eN
