Radu Enache, CEO and president of the Continental Hotels chain, says he is considering closing the eight hotels he manages starting December 15. This decision comes amid significant declines in hotel revenues.

“We are thinking very seriously about closing after December 15. At the moment I am not sure if at all or for a certain period of time. I do not know how we will do it because there are some conditions regarding total closure, related to the fact that during the state of emergency we used the unemployment financing measure and therefore we cannot relate to the staff. We will minimize the entire activity, it will be zero, but we will subsidize the salaries of the employees “, says for ZF Radu Enache, CEO and president of Continental Hotels.

The hotel chain controlled by Radu Enache has so far recorded decreases in turnover of almost 60% compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, expenses increased during this period with the implementation of protective measures to limit the spread of the virus. Radu Enache says about 180 lei was spent on a room.
