Georg Wohlwend resigns as chairman of the board of directors of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) with immediate effect. The reason is an ongoing criminal case against him. The institute announced that it was not related to his work at the LLB group. Vice President Gabriela Nagel-Jungo takes up her duties as of today.
Much remains in the dark
Wohlwend, chairman of LLB’s board of directors since 2017, firmly rejects the allegations leveled against him. In order to avoid any burden on the LLB, he announced his resignation to the Board of Directors.
The board took note of Wohlwend’s decision with “great regret” and thanks him for his commitment to the company, he said. No further information is provided on the criminal proceedings. (pbe / SDA)
