The COVID-19 pandemic has had a very negative impact on the economy. However, automotive manufacturers have continued to invest in innovation and also in the electric mobility segment. In July, Groupe Renault revealed that the Renault Zoe broke orders and sales records in Europe.

The brand is now preparing to launch the new TWINGO Electric, which costs 10,000 euros less than the Renault Zoe.

Renault TWINGO electric: battery 22 kWh and a range of 270 kilometers

On the official Renault website it is already possible to configure the new TWINGO Electric. This new vehicle will cost just 22,200 euros (with battery included) and, of course, just over 18,000 euros for business customers (benefiting from the full VAT deduction).

TWINGO Electric is yet another proposal from Renault that benefits from the brand's experience of over a decade in zero-emission mobility. The platform of the electric version is the same as the existing petrol versions. The Twingo platform has been designed to be able to receive 100% electric versions.

The French manufacturer's new electric is equipped with a 22 kWh battery that offers a range of around 270 kilometers in the WLTP City cycle and 190 kilometers in the Complete WLTP cycle (225 kilometers in Eco mode). For those who travel an average of 30 kilometers a day, you will have a battery for one week (without recharging).

Also noteworthy is the charging speed, as it charges up to four times faster than its competitors, at charging stations that are more often found in public spaces.

A final reference to the fact that the latest connected services developed for the range are also available on TWINGO Electric. These also include functions specific to Renault electric cars that make life easier for the driver.
