With the number of corona infections, toilet paper sales are on the rise again in Germany. And the first images of empty shelves appeared on social media again. . So what can you do for hamster purchases? A supermarket in Rostock surprises customers with an unusual idea.

In the Rewe store in the Groß Klein district, customers have to pay a corona surcharge for toilet paper. For the second package 5 euros more are due and for the third 10 euros more, reports the “Ostsee-Zeitung”. “To ensure that all customers receive toilet paper and kitchen towels, we apply a corona surcharge of 5 euros from the second pack,” the newspaper quoted from a notice on a shelf.
