Washington: an Arab country will sign a peace agreement with Israel within two days

Kelly Craft, the US ambassador to the United Nations, expected another Arab country to join the normalization process with Israel within the next two days on Wednesday.

In statements to the English-language channel Al Arabiya, Kraft said the United States “plans to join more Arab countries, which we will announce soon,” adding that “another Arab country will sign an agreement within a day or two, and other countries will follow suit “.

Kraft said the Americans hoped Saudi Arabia would sign a normalization agreement with Israel.

He added: “We will certainly be happy that Saudi Arabia is next (on the path to normalization), but the important thing is that we focus on the agreements and do not allow the Iranian regime to exploit the good intentions of Bahrain, the Emirates. or of Israel “.

Israeli media refer to Oman, Morocco and Sudan as potential candidate countries to join the US-sponsored normalization agreements with Israel.

The Israeli website “Walla” said that the negotiations that took place in Abu Dhabi in recent days between the United States and Sudan on the possibility of concluding a normalization agreement with Israel ended without achieving a breakthrough.

The website states that the main dispute between the two sides revolves around the extent of the economic aid package Washington will provide to Sudan as part of the normalization process.

For its part, Israeli channel 13 cited sources who said they were Sudanese, saying that the results of the talks between Sudan and the US delegation in Abu Dhabi were “very positive” and that there is a great opportunity “in the near future. “to announce the normalization of relations with Israel.

According to sources, the future agreement hinges on the United States meeting Sudan’s demands, which mainly include intensive economic assistance and its removal from the list of states sponsoring terrorism.

On Wednesday, the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, said his discussions with US officials in the UAE have addressed several issues, including Arab peace with Israel, adding that the results of those talks they will be presented to transitional government institutions.
