Not again! Once again, the US company cuts jobs in Switzerland. This time it hits the gas energy division of Banden AG. According to the Syna union, 84 jobs are affected. This came only shortly after General Electric cut jobs in the electricity sector.
“GE’s approach is dubious and outrageous. Employees, the staff committee and employee organizations are strongly opposed to downsizing, ”Syna writes in a message.

On October 15 alone, 300 GE employees protested in front of the Oberentfelden AG plant against the loss of 562 jobs.
