I mean, if you go back to that time, it will seem really silly, but people were contemplating sharing information on the Internet, Internet transactions, and buying goods and services on the Internet. Jason has likened the current stage of blockchain technology with the Internet of the years & # 90; When the Internet was in its evolutionary phase, people could only think about the possibilities it could bring. Jason stressed how the tourism industry has turned into the Internet. During the day, traveling involved a lot of hectic procedure. The Internet has transformed all this and traveling has been made much easier in our day. Similarly, at the micro level, Uber has changed the way we move. Jason also stated:
Blockchain-based transactions and the ability to protect private information are the next breakthrough for me. So now, as I sit here talking to you, I'm excited to show myself. My background is in the healthcare industry and when I start dreaming about the things you can do with cryptographic technologies and blockchain technologies in healthcare to protect medical information, creating electronic medical records that are universal, cost free, that are protected from more biometric moments to democratize health care records, so if I'm in Pakistan and I get sick, the doctors there can access my medical record here at Duke University, which is huge and so important! So, I'm really excited about the investment and construction of those new companies in the specific healthcare space using blockchain technology.
Jason pointed out how the health industry can be transformed if blockchain technology is used in this arena. Accessing patient records from various hospitals not only in one country but all over the world can truly prove revolutionary. We are already seeing platforms that follow this emerging idea in the blockchain arena. This technology certainly has the potential to turn into a game in the health sector.
Jason was also of the opinion that the blockchain could help revolutionize government operations. Speaking of how blockchain could change the election to improve, he said:
I mean, think of the electoral fraud we have here in the United States. I can only imagine the level of fraud you see all over the world. Imagine being able to cryptographically demonstrate each voter and each station was counted. It is so important to humanity.
