Huawei Cloud, the global cloud services arm of Huawei Global, announced the launch of its Blockchain Service (BCS), according to an official press release.
The BCS was launched for commercial use in China at the start of this year and is now available to a global audience on the international Huawei Cloud site.
The service enables global entrepreneurs and developers to create, distribute and manage blockchain applications on Huawei Cloud at a dizzying pace and lower costs. According to the announcement, the global launch of BCS will lay the foundation for a distributed global blockchain platform that will soon be released.
BCS is a cloud service that uses the blockchain and some of the advantages inherent to the Huawei Cloud container and security technologies. The company claims that the BCS can be applied in most industries, including the Internet of Things (IoT), data and finance applications. BCS will be able to cover a wide range of scenarios, including, but not limited to, identity verification, tracking of food sources, remote health care, data transactions, IoT device management. , evidence of information and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV).
Several applications of blockchain technology have been studied and explored by various companies in various sectors, but Huawei is taking another step forward by implementing the ledger technology distributed on a cloud service. According to Huawei, its Blockchain service is flexible and efficient, among other things. Simplify the transition, joining or closing of nodes and multi-role members. In these sub-projects, Huawei remains the sole maintainer of Hyperledger from Asia.
