Bitmain, the Chinese mining chip hardware giant, has launched the cryptocurrency index on its BTC.com website providing the market data of the 17 major cryptocurrencies for market capitalization.

The mining hardware giant Bitmain has launched its cryptocurrency index for the prices of 17 best cryptocurrencies by market capitalization which will show the prices of 17 cryptocurrencies that have the highest market capitalization in US dollars.
The cryptocurrency index will recover its data from the main cryptographic exchanges allowing users to decide which of the bursaries are suitable to inform the service considering their reputation on the market, their compliance, their transparency, market stability and trading volume.
Inclusions and exclusions
The list of exchanges includes Binance, Bittrex, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Gemini, GDAX, Kraken, Poloniex, Houbi and Itbit.
The Bitmain cryptocurrency index will be updated every second showing the price in real time of each of the cryptocurrencies together with a reference price for each day.
The 17 major cryptocurrencies for market capitalization chosen by the company are BTC, XRP, ETH, XLM, BCH, EOS, LTC, ADA, XMR, TRX, IOTA, DASH, NEM, NEO, ETC, ZEC, ICX and OMG.
However coins like USDT (Tether), Bitcoin Gold (BTG), Tezos (XTZ), VeChain (VET), Dogecoin (DOGE), Maker (MKR), Ontology (ONT) and 0x (ZRX) that precede some of the coins listed in the cryptographic index based on the market capitalization of CoinMarketCap are excluded from the list.
