Ripple and XRP
Ripple is hiring a new country manager based in Shanghai. It is one of the 37 positions open to the San Francisco startup.
Meanwhile, Ripple CTO David Schwartz is considering why he believes that banks will play an important role in the adoption of cryptocurrency. According to Schwartz, banks are not interested in creating and controlling their digital assets.
Banks are where value is today. We need links to the point where today's value is if we have a mass adoption. The Internet has obtained most of its initial growth from the military and existing central information services for the same reason.
