The survey found that only 75 respondents had not heard of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology, accounting for around 2% of the survey sample. The survey also found that 40% of respondents expressed a willingness to invest in cryptocurrencies in the future, despite almost 83% of the sample describing investments in cryptocurrency as a new trend.

14% of the sample, or 598 respondents, said they had invested in cryptocurrencies, almost 70% of which acquired cryptography via an exchange platform. 266 respondents came to own their crypts through flights, followed by mining, with 263.

The sample indicated that social media is the main medium through which Chinese citizens are exposed to cryptocurrencies, with 38% of respondents declaring that they are familiar with the crypt by claiming to have been exposed to them through social media, followed by " relatives and friends "with 26%.

Panews also noted that the majority of respondents associated cryptocurrencies with investment products primarily and not as a medium of exchange.

Only 17 respondents said they did not hear about cryptocurrency, while 103 said they were not familiar with Bitcoin. 60% of the respondents described the common perceptions about the complexity of the exchange and memorization of cryptocurrency as a main barrier to greater cryptic adoption.

Overall, the study found that bitcoin and cryptocurrency have taken significant steps towards the penetration of mainstream economic discourse in China, stating that "the cryptocurrency industry has made significant progress in the cognitive level of the public" from the very beginning times ".
