As travel demand plummeted due to the extended Corona 19, Hana Tour, the # 1 travel company, has decided to extend the unpaid leave for four months.

On the 13th, Hana Tour announced that unpaid leave for all employees will be extended by 4 months from next month to next March.

A Hana Tour official said out of 2,300 employees, they are already taking unpaid leave, with the exception of 300 required workers.

Hana Tour went on paid vacation from last March to May when sales plummeted in the aftermath of Corona 19, and has taken unpaid leave since June excluding essential staff.

Until this month, with government job retention subsidies, employees can still receive 50% of their base salary, but will not be able to receive any salary from next month.

In the third quarter of this year, the number of overseas tourists of Koreans decreased by 99.9% compared to the same period last year, recording an operating loss of more than 30 billion won.
