One of the coolest features YouTube has ever created is Premiere, also known in Portuguese as Estreias. With it, you can generate a preview page for opening an important video, including a countdown timer and a chat where your viewers can interact with each other. Well, the video platform just improved this feature.
Through a statement sent to the trade press on Wednesday (2), the company revealed three new features that improve Premiere. The first of these is live redirect – basically it will be possible to create a pre-Premiere live broadcast which, once finalized, will reveal the countdown page so that the content is released. Something interesting for the creator’s comments, for example.
Right after that, we have the trailers. As the name suggests, they are small video clips (15 seconds minimum and 3 minutes maximum) that can be added to the Premiere page. It’s something useful for unveiling very large content, such as short films or productions that last over an hour – after all, a circular preview can make a difference in engaging the audience.
Finally, YouTube has also listened to the requests of Internet users and created a rather diverse collection of themes, climates and styles for the countdown, allowing for even greater personalization of your Premiere page. ” more serene, playful, full of drama or sporty mood, your success is guaranteed with the new countdown themes ”, explains the company.
The platform points out that since March 1 there has been an 85% increase in the number of daily previews across more than 8 million channels worldwide, 80% of which had never used the tool before. . The new features have been tested on videos from artists such as BTS, Cardi B and Justin Bieber, as well as events such as We Are One Film Festival and Comic Con in New York.
According to YouTube, real-time redirects and trailers are now available to “qualified” content creators and should be made available to all users soon; as the custom countdown will start in the coming months.
