On December 18th, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, Coinfield, based in Canada, announced that it will pair XRP with the fifth largest coin, Stellar [XLM], stable currency USD currency [USDC] and Digibyte [DGB]. The platform has also announced that it will expand its services in 40 new countries. The original tweet said:
"The new #XRP pairings with Stellar #XLM, DigiByte #DGB and #USDC stablecoin shine as CoinField expands into 40 new countries."
In November, Coinfield had informed his followers that the platform's services had been activated in over 60 countries at the time. In the same announcement, he also made the decision to add XRP for trading on his platform, where the fee was set at 0.05% and 20 pairs of XRPs were added including XRP fiat pairs with USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, JPY and AED.
Now, in addition to XLM, DGB and USDC, two other unpopular coins have been added to increase the number of XRP pairs, for example Civic [CVC] and Loom Network [LOOM].
XRP has been a professional when it comes to getting adoption around the world as a blockchain parent company, Ripple is inherently a global business. Therefore, XRP was able to travel around the world at a fast pace through RippleNet.
Despite its success, XRP has been an integral part of many controversies, since the presumed safety of the ecosystem is highly centralized. Whenever the token is in trouble, Ripple executives do not fail to take a step forward and refute those allegations.
Moh, a Twitter user and a fan of space cryptocurrency on Coinfield's announcement said:
"Fantastic now you can get #digibyte #dgb with your #XRP !! Come to the decent #cryptocurrency decentralized! #DGB the standard."
Here, the Twitter handle known as the XRP Research Center replied to the comment mentioned above and mentioned:
"You're saying" implicitly that XRP is not decentralized with that tweet.
I invite you to review what PoW has done with decentralization.
Spoiler warning: utopia. "- XRP Research Center
Also Bobby Dee, who is also a fan and follower of DigiByte, has restored and written:
"Compared to #DigiByte is centralized … and it is more expensive to transfer value using XRP than DGB" – Bobby Dee
