Xiaomi launches the camera app on MIUI: it works like this

MIUI 12 presented its global version, which is used in Spain, officially in May. Since then, improvements have been released on Xiaomi phones, most recently with its version 12.1. One of the news that was expected is a renewal of the camera application, which seems to be finally launched for Xiaomi phones.

Xiaomi launches the camera app on MIUI, significantly changing its design. The camera application is updated with a more modern design that allows for more comfortable use on the brand phones that will receive it. This new design begins its distribution in China.

In this video, from 1:10 minute you can see this new Xiaomi camera app, which is made official in MIUI. One of the big changes in the application is the More section, which we access from the application’s main options bar. In this section we find the various photography modes available in the app.

The change they leave us is that the appearance of the said panel is renewed, in such a way it is easier and more visual to recognize these modes. So if we are looking for a specific mode, it will be easy to spot it in this new design. In addition, the new interface provides some customization options, because those modes that we always want to have available can be added after entering that More menu.

The purpose of this revamped MIUI camera application is to make it easier to use. It is very convenient to be able to move around the interface of it, as well as selecting the photography mode you want to use at that time. So for users with Xiaomi and Redmi phones it will be a welcome change.

This renewed camera is launched only in the closed beta of the Chinese MIUI ROMAlso, it is limited to phones with Android 11. For now, it is not known when it will launch in Europe, but it will probably take a few weeks to arrive.
