Today, November 10, 2020, Xbox Series X is launched. But apparently there are major problems with Xbox services. Players are reporting that logins are not working. The problem should be solved at this point.
Update – 20:50: Microsoft has announced that the sign-in problem has been fixed. Players should be able to log in and play again.
Original message: what’s happening today? The new next generation console, Xbox Series X, will officially appear on Tuesday 10 November and there was talk of the new console during the day.
The release is now overshadowed by major problems with the Xbox Live service.
Many players have reported since around 7:00 pm that they cannot log into their Xbox Live account. Apparently this is about Xbox Series X and the old Xbox One.
This is what Microsoft says: According to a tweet on the official Twitter channel, the developers are already working on a solution:
However, they cannot yet say exactly when the problem will be solved. The Twitter channel and official support page should be updated as soon as the status changes.
The problem probably doesn’t affect all players. Here on MeinMMO, some users report that they can log in and play without problems.

That is the question: Due to incorrect registration, players do not have access to games in their account and some online features.
It is particularly annoying that these issues coincide with both the release of Xbox Series X and the new Beyond Light expansion for Destiny 2. Xbox players cannot enjoy any of these new features.
There is a solution? Microsoft is still officially working on the problem. However, user James Evans suggested a solution that should have helped him (via Twitter):
- go to settings and there under “network”
- log out
- enter your account details and go back to the “network”
- come back online
However, it doesn’t seem to work for all players. Some report getting out immediately and not getting that far.
When can I expect a solution? It is currently not possible to predict how long the problem will persist. However, the release of the Xbox Series X should heat up the working pressure and ensure that the problem is resolved as quickly as possible.
