The problems between Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins have been dragging on for months. Tonight in SmackDown, WWE is advertising that the two men will have the “final chapter” of their long rivalry when the show returns to the ThunderDome within Orlando’s Amway Center.
For the most part, Rollins got the better of Mysterio at every turn, brutalizing Rey’s son Dominick from time to time, and even popping Rey’s eyeball out of its orbit during their “Eye for an Eye” match at Extreme. Rules. In recent weeks, the story has taken further turns with Rollins ‘”disciple” Murphy, who turned on Rollins, established a relationship with Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah and then rejoined Rollins’ side. Murphy begged Aalyah to trust him, and now it looks like the whole situation involving Murphy, Rollins, and the Mysterio family is set to climax when SmackDown airs Friday night.
