Microsoft has released a patch that fixes one of the most annoying bugs in the Windows 10 May Update: freezes and crashes of applications and games.
One of the main problems you may have with your current computer is slowing down when performing different actions or even direct blocking, and even though you may think you have caught a virus or think you have an application running in the background, perhaps that main causing is the Windows 10 latest update.
Although it has rained a lot since the availability of the Windows 10 May 2020 update, there are still users who complain about some problems derived from it. Issues resulting from the May update have been reported slowdowns and system crashes and according to Microsoft’s support forums, the bug is still active causing games or even applications to freeze, and it seems that a full reboot is the only solution.
Microsoft is aware of the problems and they indicate this in a support document Windows 10 cumulative version KB4580364 fixes an issue where the operating system stops working or stops responding.
The bug appears to come from the TCP / IP driver which causes performance issues for some users. It is a network-based function that defines how a PC communicates with other devices.
This way, if you are experiencing freezes or crashes on your computer and see that you have the May 2020 update, try looking for the cumulative update KB4580364 as it is optional and it is likely that it has not been installed yet. The installation should fix the problem.
While all of these OS related issues occur, it should be noted that if you are running an old version of Windows 10 it is likely that you will undergo a forced update in the next few days.
