According to a trusted source, reporter Zac Bowden, Microsoft is currently working on a solution that will allow users to run Android applications in Windows 10. Zac says the feature will be rolled out soon, possibly early next year. However, the reporter does not provide details on how to implement this feature.
Of course, Samsung terminal users can already run Android applications on Windows 10, thanks to the strategic partnership between Microsoft and Samsung. However, the feature would be available for any Android phone, regardless of brand.
But Microsoft isn’t the best company when it comes to implementation, and that’s still speculation. We also remember Project Astoria, which was a system for porting Android applications to Windows 10. Although it would have been a useful feature, the development of the project stopped in 2016, after the beta was not successful.
Will we see the functionality in Windows 10?
But this time the function has the ability to see the light. Since Apple has made it possible to run iOS apps with macOS Big Sur. Microsoft would not want to be left behind and offer an alternative as soon as possible. At the same time, Huawei already has a well-developed ecosystem and already offers support for running up to 3 screens in Windows 10.
Thus, the feature has every chance of being rolled out in 2021, but Microsoft has yet to find a solution for its OS-level implementation for dozens of Android phone brands.
