When is the 2020-21 Nations League Finals?

The 2020-21 Nations League Finals will take place in October 2021, nearly a full year after the championship phase of the competition ends.

The semi final the final phase of the tournament will take place 6 October is October 7 2021.

After that, the playoff for third place between the semifinalists served and the final – to decide the Nations League champion – will be played on the same day October 10 2021.

With the Nations League Finals in October 2021 it means that matches take place after the start of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup (March 2021) and the European Championship (June / July 2021).

Which teams qualified for the 2020-21 Nations League Finals?

The winners of the four groups of League A qualify for the Nations League Finals.

France were the first team to qualify for the 2020-21 finals after securing a spot at the top of Group A3 ahead of reigning champions Sweden, Croatia and Portugal.

I Bleus were then joined in the final round by Spain after La Roja overcame a group that included Germany, Ukraine and Switzerland, winning their place with a sensational 6-0 over Germany.

The remaining two final places will be decided on November 18, the day of the final group matches.

In Group A1, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland remain on the pitch with a chance to qualify, while in Group A2, only Belgium or Denmark will go through with England losing the chance.

A open draw will be held on December 3, 2020 to determine which teams will face off in the two semi-finals.

Where will the 2020-21 Nations League Finals be played?

The Nations League Finals are played in a single host country. In principle, the host nation will be the Group A1 winner, with Italy, the Netherlands and Poland declaring an interest.

UEFA will officially confirm the venues for the 2020-21 Nations League Finals on 3 December 2020, the same date as the final draw.
