Dr Danijela Jevtić states that viral pneumonia, pneumonia, differs somewhat from bacterial pneumonia because it starts faster and usually affects both lungs.

“Later it can be supplemented with bacteria, but in the beginning there is a dry cough, fever, frailty and malaise,” added the doctor.

He pointed out that afterward a person cannot immediately return to a normal course and that it takes about three months to recover.

“The food should be porridge, a lot of tea and a lot of soup should be consumed,” said Jevtić and added that as far as physical activity is concerned, it must be moderate.

He pointed out that probiotics and prebiotic fibers are important during illness and later to protect good gut bacteria.

He also stated what foods we should consume if we want to strengthen our immunity.

“As for the diet, we could mention the pumpkin, beets, Brazil nuts, because they contain a huge amount of selenium,” said the doctor, adding that only one Brazil nut is enough, because it exceeds 50 per percent of the daily amount of what we need.

“We use coffee, it is good because it expands the airways and we can also use many foods in terms of green tea, olive oil, apples and blueberries,” concluded Dr. Jevtić.
