We are updating the list for the fourth year, a month-long process involving a team of eight journalists and editors: we divide the work into different sub-categories of fintech, we aim to become experts of each , we talk to industry analysts, entrepreneurs and managers, we evaluate hundreds of companies and select 50.

And we need your help for applications Read our methodology below and read the end of this article for the link to nomination form

Methodology

More than anything else, we look for companies that bring revolutionary innovation. This often means that they are regularly releasing new products or features, or are making major strategic improvements, not simply benefiting from products that look largely the same as they did about a decade ago.

We do not base the list on simple and quantitative metrics, such as a minimum amount of revenue or a number of customers. Furthermore, we do not have a ceiling for company size, but the companies we select tend to be venture-backed start-ups, as they are often the best equipped to drive change in the industry.

Other important criteria that we take into consideration:

  • Strong growth in the last year and at a faster pace than the competitors
  • Having a working product publicly alive
  • important operations in the United States [19659010] No public companies or their subsidiaries

We define fintech companies like those that apply technology to personal finance categories and investments, payments, loans, insurance, real estate, trade , financial information and data, cryptocurrencies and blockchain, business services and capital markets.

If you know a company that deserves a chance, please fill out this form by 31 August 2018 . Please do not send more for the same company: the nomination number has no influence on our selection. We can not wait to read your contributions.
