Also, a bay leaf can help in indigestion and cardiovascular problems, in gout, in rheumatism, but also to be a natural solution for insomnia and nervousness.

While essential oil can be very effective when used by inhalation, tea or bay leaf syrup can boost your immunity, clear your airways, or help relieve coughs and sore throats.

Here’s how to make them.

Laurel tea

For the bay leaf tea you need three dried bay leaves, which you will finely chop and pour over 2.5 deciliters of water. After ten minutes of cooking, leave the tea covered for another ten minutes, then strain it.

Add a little lemon juice and honey to the cooled tea to taste, then consume two or three cups a day.

Laurel syrup

Put 2.5 deciliters of water on the stove to a boil, then add eight dried bay leaves and cook for ten minutes over medium heat. Then remove the bay leaves, then add six tablespoons of honey and the juice of one lemon to the water in which you cooked the bay leaves.

Mix the mixture well to mix, let it cool and store in the refrigerator. Take one or three teaspoons of syrup a day.
