Nov. 25 (UPI) – Paramount Pictures is taking a look at the new film Clifford the Big Red Dog.
The studio shared a first look at the film Wednesday with titular character Clifford, a huge dog with red fur.
In the teaser, a camera pans different types of dogs before landing on Clifford, who towers over the other pups via CG.
“During the holiday season we are grateful for the pets whose love has helped us throughout the year. But next year, get ready to love even bigger,” says one person in a voiceover.
Clifford the Big Red Dog is based on Norman Bridwell’s children’s book series of the same name. The film is directed by Walt Becker and starring Darby Camp, Jack Whitehall and Kenan Thompson.
The new film follows Emily (Camp), a middle school student who goes on an adventure with her dog Clifford and her uncle Casey (Whitehall) in New York City while her mother (Sienna Guillory) is away on business.
“Based on the beloved character from Scholastic’s book, Clifford will teach the world how to love big!” an official synopsis reads.
Clifford the Big Red Dog will be released in theaters in 2021.
The camp is known for the Netflix movie The Christmas Chronicles and for playing Chloe Mackenzie on the HBO series Big little lies.
