In a decision that caused an earthquake in the Hollywood industry, Warner Bros. announced on Thursday that the 17 films due out in 2021 in the United States will be able to be seen simultaneously in theaters and on the HBO Max streaming platform.

The studio has taken this step due to the difficulties the coronavirus pandemic is causing it when it comes to showing its new productions in conventional cinemas.

A few weeks ago, Warner Bros. had already announced that it would release “Wonder Woman 1984” in December. at the same time on HBO Max and in theaters.

Now it has decided to do the same with all the previews planned for 2021, which include films like “Dune”, “Matrix 4”, “Godzilla vs. Kong”, “The suicide squad” and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s adaptation of the musical “In the Heights”.
