VulcanVerse, a virtual fantasy world where users can own lands and creatures using blockchain technology, was joined by Jeff Wootton of Gorrilaz and Pablo Clements of the band UNKLE
The rumor was confirmed when Wootton, guitarist of Gorrilaz, tweeted that he was working on the backing track for the virtual world asking questions about what had been made and what for.
VulcanVerse CEO confirmed:
“Both Jeff and Pablo made a series of backing tracks for each VulcanVerse ‘quadrant’. We wanted a set of modern yet experimental tracks that users could enjoy based on each area of the world they were in. The experimental and environmental guitar. Jeff’s style suited the desert lands and the underworld, while Pablo’s new band ToyDrum was perfect for the mountains and cities. They are two of the many artists who give our world these special musical touches. “
This is the second time in a month that VulcanVerse has reached out to “traditional” creatives to help bridge the gap between the widely unknown blockchain gaming market with its non-blockchain counterpart. In October it was announced that two Fighting Fantasy authors Jamie Thomson and Dave Morris would be writing a trilogy of game books for the world.
VulcanVerse sold its land to users in September and the game will be available at the end of December 2020.
