VIDEO. This machine sucks alcohol from drunk people

ClearMate is a new device developed by Canadian scientists for the treatment of alcohol intoxication. Its operation is very simple: when a drunk person exhales into the car, he sucks alcohol from his system.

Canadian scientists from the University of Toronto’s Health Network have created a revolutionary machine that can treat alcoholic drunkenness. A phase of testing on several healthy volunteers has shown that the device accelerates the elimination of alcohol present in an organism three times faster.

We will probably not teach you anything by explaining that alcohol is broken down by the liver when ingested by our body. It is found in our blood and, when saturated, can reach the lungs to be replenished with oxygen. This phenomenon can be accelerated by hyperventilation, except that the latter causes us to lose too much carbon dioxide.

A revolutionary device

It is for this reason that Joseph Fisher has created ClearMate, a machine that allows its user to hyperventilate and, therefore, to exhale alcohol, while having access to a supply of oxygen and carbon dioxide. , which are ingested through a mask. “With each breath, the device is designed to allow the normal amount of carbon dioxide to escape and any excess is returned to the next breath,” says Fisher.

This scientist claims that the phenomenon of eliminating alcohol through our lungs has been known for a long time. He doesn’t understand why no one had thought of taking advantage of this discovery before him.
