Visitors will be able to live the experience of piloting the automaton 18 meters high and 25 tons thanks to a simulator with augmented reality.
A full-scale replica of the Mobile Suit manned combat robot from the Gundam animation series was unveiled this Monday in the city of Yokohama (Japan), local media reported.

The engineering work is part of the Gundam Factory recreation complex, created in Yamashita Park, on the shore of Tokyo Bay.
The robot is located inside a special structure, equipped in its upper part with a observation deck. The complex also offers an exhibition hall that shows how the robot was built and provides information on its internal structure.
The facilities include a pavilion which, with the help of augmented reality technology and images transmitted via 5G networks, simulates the driving experience of the Mobile Suit in first person.
The complex was originally scheduled to open in the middle of this year but had to be postponed due to the pandemic. Its doors will open to the public on December 18, with admission fees ranging from 1,650 to 3,000 yen ($ 16 to $ 32), depending on the attractions included.
