Video / health workers and teachers marched to improve wages

They asked that their salaries be homologated to the foreign currency. Non-governmental organizations supported the peaceful protest.

A concentration of health workers and teachers marched into Caracas to demand better wages in a major mobilization of various professionals, workers and technicians who suffer the rigors of Venezuela’s economic collapse during seven years of recession and three years of hyperinflation.

The workers also displayed their banners to vehicles, buses and pedestrians on the sidewalks.

“Today we were present with #EnProtestaPacifica workers, exercising our right to demonstrate, enshrined in # Art68 CRBV We ask for a # National Agreement that allows us to access # SalarioYProtección. Without an agreement there is no solution”, tweeted the organization non-governmental Dale Letra.

“In exercising the right to demonstrate #EnProtestaPacifica # Art68 CRBV we accompany the workers of the Concepción Palacios Maternity Hospital. We ask for # SalarioYProtección, aware that an #AccordNational is needed to achieve these objectives. No agreement, no solution”, added Dale letra in another trill.

“We want to be paid in foreign currency,” Aracelis Caldera said. She commented, interviewed by Efecto Cocuyo, that her current income will go to pay for the ticket. Sometimes he has to walk and ask for a queue from Carayaca, in the state of La Guaira, to the Psychiatric Hospital of Caracas, where he works in the laboratory area.

Representatives of the health union have mobilized in the last few hours in several states of the country to ask the Maduro government to discuss and sign the extension of the labor regulation agreement, as well as the payment of the health bonus to fight covid-19, among others requests.
