Victory for 2-1 nV against Zug – SC Bern wins at the debut of Kogler – Sport

It was a turbulent day for SC Bern. First the entire team had to hold a quarantine due to crown cases, then head coach Don Nachbaur surprisingly resigned on Tuesday. His provisional successor Mario Kogler celebrated a successful debut against EV Zug.

It took a lot of work. Both teams have been slow acting for a long time and have hardly played any dangerous scenes in the opposing slot. Simon Sterchi’s Bern opener (19 ‘) equalized EVZ top scorer Jan Kovar in the 43rd minute.

The decision was made just one minute before the overtime was up. Simon Moser and Ted Brithén joined through the Zug defensive. The Swede certainly managed to win.

Many absences

Both teams lacked important players. Eric Blum and Vincent Praplan from Bern and Leonardo Genoni from Zug had to give up because they are still in quarantine. Additionally, EVZ strikers Grégory Hofmann and Lino Martschini (reason unknown) were not on the match sheet.

Schlumpf delivers an inglorious climax

Dominik Schlumpf from Zug attracted negative attention. The defender hit André Heim hard in the head in the 10th minute, but the referees only received a 2 + 10 minute penalty – a mild decision.
