According to the coordinator of the state program for vaccination and surveillance of immunopreventable diseases, Danielle Grillo, the ministry of health has authorized states to choose whether or not to extend the campaigns. “We believe that for Espírito Santo, due to the poor coverage achieved, it will be an opportunity to improve this scenario, so we have extended it until the end of November”, informed the coordinator.

Also according to Danielle Grillo, the Multivaccination Campaign, to update the vaccination booklet for children and adolescents under 15 years of age, will be closed on Friday (30) and incorporated into the vaccination routine.

For polio vaccination, the target recommended by the Ministry of Health is 95%, with an estimated immunization of approximately 204,269 children in Espirito Santo. As for measles vaccination, for adults aged 20 to 49, the state’s goal is to vaccinate the largest number of people out of 1,707,734 who belong to this age group. Immunization takes place in the 493 vaccination rooms of the 78 municipalities of the state.
