DONTNOD Entertainment today releases Twin Mirror, the latest story-packed adventure game for PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 (PlayStation Store) and Xbox One (Microsoft Store). In the psychological thriller, players like Sam Higgs explore the city of Basswood, West Virginia, in search of the truth.

After the tragic death of his best friend, Sam Higgs returns to his hometown of Basswood to pay his final respects. It quickly becomes clear that this small West Virginia town holds numerous dark secrets. The former investigative journalist uses his unique deductive skills to uncover the secrets of the city and its people. Faced with his past, Sam is torn between his search for truth and his desire to reconnect with loved ones. Who can you really trust?

Sam has developed various analytical skills, which are represented in the game as Mind Palace, a place where players discover, among other things, the facets of his personality. With unique gameplay that carries the story forward, Sam’s Mind Palace is a safe place where the protagonist can be completely himself, free from pressure or judgment. Players can also relive Sam’s past through his memories in flashback sequences to uncover the truth.

Being exposed to dramatic events and confronted with his past, Sam increasingly loses control of his retreat. He also soon realizes that the Mind Palace isn’t helping him face his fears or rebuild relationships with his old acquaintances.

This is where double comes into play. Only Sam is able to see this character as it is a representation of his more empathic and social side. Sam can rely on him when he needs an ally to guide him through social interactions and help him navigate a society that doesn’t accept oddities at times. Players face serious decisions that will profoundly affect the evolution of events.

Twin Mirror is DONTNOD’s first self-published title and is co-produced with Shibuya Productions. The title is available exclusively for PC for one year via the Epic Game Store. BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment is a distribution partner for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
