The snow, the castle, the music: the fairy tale film “Three hazelnuts for Cinderella” is cult for many and will be shown particularly often on TV in 2020. Almost 20 times!

The classic fairy tale can be seen again and again on the ARD channels between the first Advent (November 29) and Epiphany (January 6). The first shows it three times, starting November 29 at 2:03 pm.

Fans can actually watch the movie all year round, because it’s available on various streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, TVnow, and MagentaTV (for a flat fee). For Christmas Eve alone, the film is scheduled six times, around noon on Erste and in prime time from 8.15pm on WDR.

The 1973 fairy tale film (co-production of the former CSSR and GDR) is a cult for millions of people around Christmas time. One of the main places was Moritzburg Castle near Dresden. The film exhibit that is common there in the winter was canceled this time due to the crown.

The main roles were played by Libuse Safránková (now 67), Prince Pavel Trávnícek (now 70) and the king, Rolf Hoppe, who died in November 2018.
