CoinPayments, a major online payments processor for cryptocurrency, has added Tron (TRX) to its platform. Now over 2.2 million merchants can use TRX as a payment method.
CoinPayments was the first payment processor to support altcoin, in addition to Bitcoin. Founded in 2013, the company has over 2,000,000 customers in 182 countries and processes payments for 600 alt-in.
As Tron continues to grow its ecosystem, strategic partnerships with networks such as CoinPayments are generating rapid growth.
CoinPayments is building out of its platform by continuously integrating new altcoins and adding support for wallets, along with banking options through third-party integrations.

The company also offers cold storage, multiple signatures, instant confirmations, vaulting long term archiving, plug-ins for easy integration of payment functions and tools for merchants. The developers promise more functionality within the next few months.

Tron should launch his virtual machine (VM) on the mainnet on August 30th.
It will allow developers to emulate different computer systems while building multiple decentralized applications to expand the network.
