Ellen Page (“Juno”, “Inception”) is now called Elliot. The 33-year-old Canadian movie star wrote that she was trans and would have a male name in the future. “I love being trans. And I love being queer,” Page wrote in a Twitter statement.
Page pointed out that the decision to publicly present himself as transgender and also to change his name was a long process, with much support from the LGBTQ community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people. “I can’t begin to say how awesome it is to finally love who I am enough to follow my true self,” Page wrote.
