Dr Khaled Mujahid, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, announced five types of vegetables to boost immunity against the emerging coronavirus.

Mujahid said on his official Facebook page on Friday that eating vitamin-rich vegetables helps reduce infections.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population indicated that these vegetables:

1- Red vegetables “red tomatoes and peppers”.

2 Green vegetables “cucumbers – cress – lettuce”.

3- Yellow vegetables “yellow pepper and carrots”.

4- White vegetables “radishes and onions”.

5- Purple “beetroot” vegetables.
