The other goals were scored by Callum Hudson-Odoi (37th), Hakim Ziyech (79th) and former Dortmund Christian Pulisic (90th). On 13 minutes, midfielder Jorginho had taken a penalty against the post, which Timo Werner had previously taken. This gives Chelsea four points after two games. As their next opponent, Stade Rennes awaits the team of manager Frank Lampard.

In the other match, Paris Saint-Germain celebrated their first win since their opening defeat to Manchester United. In Basaksehir, the team of coach Thomas Tuchel won 2-0. But there was also bad news for PSG. After 26 minutes, Tuchel had to replace superstar Neymar. The striker had injured his thigh and was treated first, then tried again before finally having to leave the pitch.
Neymar doesn’t have much time to recover if he doesn’t want to miss the next game. PSG will face Nantes in the French league on Saturday before heading to Leipzig next Wednesday.
